Omega Learning Center started off as a small education & tutoring center in Acworth, Georgia, and quickly turned into something much bigger. After the company’s initial success (it was profitable just 30 days after opening), founders Kimberly Smith, Joyce Smith, and Kathy Keeton saw an opportunity to expand their research-backed tutoring concept into something more. Omega Learning Franchise was founded in 2008, growing to 10 locations since.

Awards and National Accreditation: A Recipe for Success
Omega has gained various accolades in that time, including such as #11 in the Franchise Gator Top Emerging Franchises in 2014, Readers’ Choice in tutoring for Around Canton Magazine in 2016, and Lake Norman Publications Normy Award for Best Tutoring Center in 2017, just to name a few. It is also the only nationally accredited k-12 tutoring center that offers school courses, test prep, and after school programs both online and in the brick-and-mortar location
“After identifying a massive void in the tutoring industry through the experience of our own children, we set out to develop a tutoring product that would allow children better, faster academic growth.” – Kimberly Smith
A Trend Toward Education & Learning Franchises
With 55 million students currently attending school in grades K-12, the pool of potential clients for a tutoring company is immense. The Education and Tutoring industry has grown 37% since 2014 and is projected to hit $102.8 billion by 2018. It’s clear that even when the economy is in a downturn, parents prioritize spending on goods and services for children, especially those that will have an impact on their future.
Furthermore, some industry experts contend that the rise in private education franchises businesses is primarily due to the decline in quality of public education. At the time of writing, deep cuts in federal education spending exceed $9.2 billion and, as a result, the perceived quality of public education in the US continues to come under scrutiny from American parents.
This is why Omega can make a huge impact, now more than ever. Omega Learning now offers a host of products and services to benefit children throughout the country. It is this wide variety of revenue streams, as well as the top-ranked services, simple business model, and nationwide accreditation that help make this particular education franchise so successful. Average profit margins are at 80%, which means that Franchise Owners can break even in as little as 6 months!
